Star of Texas - Seats up to 200

Whether you’re planning a corporate event, family reunion, or getting married at sunset and having your first dance under the stars – The Star of Texas is a wonderful and uniquely memorable setting to do it all.

The maximum capacity of the Star of Texas is 200 people. Please note, children and infants count the same as adults. Adult life jackets are kept onboard. If you will need a child or infant sized jacket please notify us in advance. If possible, children should bring their own jackets to ensure their comfort during the trip. Children must be supervised at all times.

Your driver will be happy to pilot your group to anywhere on Lake Lewisville within the allotted time. This decision will be made by the driver at the scheduled time of your event. Swimming and related water sports are allowed as weather permits, so a change of clothing may make your guests more comfortable inside the air-conditioned cabin or after sunset.

Sneaky Pete’s Restaurant can provide catering services ranging from Stylish and Casual to a Sophisticated 5-Star Signature Event. Please contact Sneaky Pete’s directly for prices and selection at 214-808-7377. You are welcome to utilize a caterer of your choice. However, to ensure a successful event, please have them contact the Just for Fun office at 972-420-9700 so we may familiarize them with the boat.

  • Large main cabin with seating for up to 100. Call for details.
  • The configuration of the main cabin’s tables and chairs can confirm to your liking. Call for suggestions.
  • Two restrooms downstairs. One restroom upstairs.
  • Kitchen area at the back of the boat with separate access to the upper deck.
  • Kitchen is equipped with microwave, full size refrigerator/freezer, and a three-tub sink.
  • Fully-powered and caterer-friendly staging and buffet area next to the kitchen.
  • Entertainment center with AM/FM receiver, CD player, and MP3/iPod ready. The four main areas of the boat have separate volume controls.
  • Upper and lower decks are fully lit for evening cruises.
  • Wet bars located upstairs and downstairs.
  • 77-foot hard top covers the upper deck.

BOOKING THE STAR OF TEXAS

All reservations have a 3-hour minimum at $750 per hour plus tax. If rented 4 or more hours, the rate for the entire trip will be reduced to $700 per hour plus tax. If rented 8 or more hours, the rate for the entire trip will be reduced to $650 per hour plus tax. The Star of Texas is available 7 days a week, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. Prices include the driver, crew and fuel. Tipping your crew is not required but is permitted and always appreciated.

A 1-hour non-refundable prepayment of $750 is required to make your reservation. The balance with tax is due prior to departure. Also due prior to departure is a $1,000 damage deposit. Cash, check, or credit card can be accepted for all charges. The damage deposit does not apply toward the rental fee. Reservations may be made up to one year in advance. Please Note - We accept checks, cashier’s checks or money orders if received a minimum of 21-days prior to reservation to allow for processing. All prepayments are non-refundable. If the need arises, you may reschedule your trip up to 21-days prior to your reservation. Please contact our office immediately if you wish to alter your reservation in any way. All changes are subject to availability.

Guests are permitted to board the vessel 45-minutes prior to the scheduled departure time. Please be sure to book additional time if you are planning to decorate the boat or if your caterer requires additional preparation time. It is very common for the Star of Texas to have multiple reservations each day, which does not allow for extra time in between charters.

If the vessel is not returned in reasonable condition, Just For Fun management will assess a minimum cleaning fee of $300. Cleaning fees are subject to additional late fees should the next scheduled reservation be delayed or postponed as a result of the vessel being returned in an unreasonable condition. In the event of damage to the boat or the boat’s equipment, replacement cost and/or cost of repairs will be assessed. Charges are not limited to the amount of the damage deposit.

The Lone Star Lady is very similar, slightly smaller in size, with a smaller maximum capacity of 100 persons, but equally beautiful and wonderful on the water.
